For my first “Art” Blog, I will like to quote these famous Artists and writers ….

Oscar Wilde an artiste, was an Irish playwright, novelist, and poet known for his clever wit and extreme behaviour.

He said, “An educated person’s ideas of Art are drawn naturally from what Art has been, whereas the new work of art is beautiful by being what Art has never been….. A temperament capable of receiving, through an imaginative medium, and under imaginative conditions, new and beautiful impressions, is the only temperament that can appreciate a work of art”.

Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter known for her many portraits, self-portraits, and works inspired by the nature and artifacts of Mexico.

Her famous quote: “ I don’t paint dreams or nightmares, I paint my own reality.”

Pablo Ruiz Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France. He is regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

His quote: “Every child is an artist. The problem is to remain an artist once they grow up.”

Vincent Willem van Gogh was a Dutch post-impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. His famous paintings include ‘Starry Night’ and ‘Sunflowers’.

His quote: “I want to touch people with my art. I want them to say ‘he feels deeply, he feels tenderly’.”
